I am an attorney, children's book author, game creator, and I have a passion for watercolor painting. Along with books, travel has provided me with a deeper understanding of other cultures and the power of history in shaping my reality. I am thrilled to have found Grand Master Nan Lu and Qigong to help me build a healthy transition (physical, mental, spiritual) through my middle years.
About Qi (chee)
Many years ago, I studied Taiji (Tai Chi) weekly for two years. Seven years ago, I discovered Grand Master Nan Lu and his Dragon's Way Qigong® program. Qigong is believed to be the "grandmother" of Taiji. The basic concept underlying both martial arts and Traditional Chinese Medicine is that we all have Qi, which is our vital energy life force. Qi travels over invisible meridians in our bodies, and it maintains organ function, builds our immunities, and provides for our general health and well-being. To learn more about Qi, please read "The Miracle of Qi," a short article by Grand Master Lu in Qi Encyclopedia. Keeping our Qi at its highest and best level is thus an essential part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Dragon's Way Qigong®.
Grand Master Nan Lu and My Studies
Grand Master Nan Lu is an accomplished doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, receiving his degree from Hubei University in China. He is also the author of several books, a teacher, musician, master herbalist, acupuncturist, and Qigong Grand Master. He is the founder of the Traditional Chinese Medicine World Foundation and the Tao of Healing Center in New York City. His teaching lineage can be traced back to Lao Tzu.
In Grand Master Lu's youth, Master Wan Laisheng, one of the "Five Tigers of the North," a Kung Fu master who developed the Taoist "natural style" or "no form" style of martial arts, chose him as his student. In 1997, Grand Master Lu competed in the Sixth International World Cup Championship, where he was named one of the top 10 Taiji masters in the world.
Grand Master Lu's own master, Tai Master Xi Hua Xu, an extraordinary teacher and healer, mentored him for over 30 years and collaborated with him to develop several programs like Dragon's Way Qigong and Wu Ming Qigong for Breast Health. At the time of his death this year, Master Xu was one of the highest level Qigong masters in China.
I continue to study with Grand Master Lu twice weekly and attend his retreats throughout the year. I recently concluded his three-month course on "The Consciousness of the Five Elements" and am studying his course on Xiao Dao.
I am proud to be a Certified Instructor of Dragon's Way Qigong® in Grand Master Lu's lineage, and look forward to sharing my knowledge with you.

Demonstrating one of our Wu Ming Meridian Forms -- Dragon's Punch.
Grand Canyon view from Southern Tier
I am trained to teach seven, standing Wu Ming Qigong movements developed specifically for women's breast health by Grand Master Nan Lu and his master, Tai Master Xi Hua Xu. These movements calm your body, mind and spirit and gently stretch the stomach, liver, and kidney meridians for better flow of Qi -- our life energy -- for the prevention of, and healing from, breast cancer.
In this special program, we also discuss how the seasons, food and especially our emotions play critical roles for maintaining our health. If you belong to a women's group or want to gather a few friends together for a class on this very important topic, please contact me for more details.

Are you ready for something different - something profound?
This winter, I will be holding ZOOM classes to show you how to activate your "Four Energy Gates" to enhance your Qi and smooth your Qi flow. These simple yet powerful practices can boost key energy intersections in your body to help you restore and maintain internal balance.
Check back for Dates and Times
